BaySystems NorthAmerica is the leading manufacturer of SPF spray-applied polyurethane foam roofing systems. We have more than 30 years of proven performance in the roofing industry, with well over one billion square feet of SPF roofing applied in a wide range of environments.

BaySystems roofing systems are designed to provide durable, trouble-free performance in any climate and under any weather conditions, with Underwriters Laboratories and Factory Mutual code approvals.

Applications

SPF Roofing

SPF roofing is a cost-effective way to waterproof and improve the energy efficiency of buildings. There are several different coating options for a spray polyurethane foam roof, depending on your roofing needs.

Silicone

Because silicones are inorganic (contain no carbon), they are one of the most durable elastomers available today. The BaySystems SCM series of silicones have been successfully used for decades on polyurethane foam roofs for many of the largest corporations in America.  The white version is LEED compliant. These solvent-based silicones can often be applied when other coatings can not.

Acrylics

For spray foam roofing our largest selling, water-based acrylic elastomeric coating is Evercoat 500. Since its introduction in the 1980s, this product has proven to be an extremely durable, low VOC, high-reflectivity product. Evercoat 5400 is our higher performance, water-based acrylic coating. Due to its higher polymer content, Evercoat 5400 has dramatically higher tensile and elongation properties with excellent color retention.

Polyurea/Hybrid

Polyurea/hybrid coatings are unique, two-component materials that are applied through specialized, heated equipment. These materials have extremely high-tensile and elongation properties, cure in less than a minute and can be walked on only five minutes after application. These materials are only available in aluminum or must be coated with a UV-resistant topcoat.

Metal Refurbish

The EverMetal roofing system was developed to be a cost-effective approach to waterproofing and cooling metal roofs. This system waterproofs the building while significantly reducing heat retention inside.
Trained applicator personnel will address the weak points on the roof, such as horizontal and vertical seams, fasteners, penetrations, ridges, valleys and gutters. Once these areas are watertight, a sufficient millage of coating is applied over the entire roof.

Acrylics
Acrylic materials are the industry standard for metal roof refurbish applications. Evercoat 500 is our largest selling acrylic coating. Evercoat 5400 is our best-performing, water-based acrylic coating. Due to its higher polymer content, Evercoat 5400 has dramatically higher tensile and elongation properties with excellent color retention.

Polyurea/Hybrid
Polyurea/hybrids are unique, two-component materials that are applied with specialized, heated equipment. Often, projects can be completed more quickly and cost effectively with polyurea/hybrid materials since they have extremely high tensile and elongation properties, cure in less than a minute and can be walked on  five minutes after application. These materials are only available in aluminum, or the roof must be coated with a UV-resistant topcoat to maintain durability.

Roof Restoration & Cool Roofing

If a roof is in “reasonable condition,” often a restoration system is a cost-effective way to waterproof while gaining the benefit of the energy savings. These coating systems are not only waterproof and protect the roof - they can often reduce the surface temperature by as much as 60 degrees and cut expansion and contraction of the structure to the point where the roof will last dramatically longer.  BaySystems NorthAmerica has a range of coatings suitable for most roofing substrates including EPDM, PVC, cap sheet, modified bitumen, built-up, Hypalon® and concrete.

These coatings are applied by trained contractors who can address the weak points on the roof, such as the seams, fasteners, perimeter penetrations and low areas. Once these points are addressed, a sufficient millage of topcoat is applied over the whole roof.

For cool roofing applications, the roof is cleaned and a suitable, highly-reflective topcoat is applied.

Hypalon® is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers.

Acrylics
Acrylics are raising the standard of the industry for roof restoration and cool roofing. After the application of a suitable base coat, our acrylic topcoats can be easily applied. Our largest-selling water-based acrylic elastomeric coating is Evercoat 500. Since its introduction in the 1980s, this product has proven to be an extremely durable, low-VOC, high-reflectivity product. Evercoat 5400 is our higher performance water-based acrylic coating. Due to its higher polymer content, it has dramatically higher tensile and elongation properties with excellent color retention.

Polyurea/Hybrid
These unique, two-component materials are applied with specialized, heated equipment. Often, projects can be completed more quickly and cost effectively with polyurea/hybrid materials since they have extremely high tensile and elongation properties, cure in less than a minute and can be walked on only five minutes after application. These materials are only available in aluminum and are not suitable for cool roofing unless a heat-reflective, high-emissivity, UV-resistant top coat is applied.

Wall Coating Systems

BaySystems manufactures a range of high performance wall coatings based on the highest performing roof coating polymers. This results in extremely weatherproof wall coating systems with an unsurpassed combination of adhesion, tensile, elongation, and dirt pickup resistance.

Everplus™ Wall Systems are single component, high-build, water-based materials which are excellent for waterproofing a variety of masonry surfaces, even if they are badly cracked. BaySystems wall coatings are so flexible that they will not only bridge existing cracks during typical building movement, but also can prevent the appearance of new cracks as well. Since it can “breathe” the system allows water vapor already trapped in the wall to escape. Trapped moisture can cause blistering and peeling in other coatings.
